ACCA Strategic Business Leader


External and internal factors determine the business strategy. In this course, you will take a look at business' strategies, the forms they take and the factors that influence them. Factors such as leadership, customer expectations and demands from stakeholders. It is your task to to make sure that laws and regulations are being complied with and if the company acts according to set ethical standards. You will become familiar with ways of conducting risk and change management in order to guide the company to a successful future.

The paper is will be concluded with an exam. The exam will be conducted by the external examination authority ACCA. See for more information regarding the planning and booking of your exam. Costs have to be paid directly to the examining body. Upon passing the exam, you will be awarded the certificate 'ACCA Strategic Business Leader' by ACCA.


This paper is subject to change. From September 2018 ACCA papers P1 and P3 will be merged.

Course details

On average, it takes 2 months to complete the training. Your training consists of 2 phases with a gap of 1 or 2 months between each phase, allowing you to process phase 1 and prepare for phase 2:

Phase 1: A block of 3 consecutive days to cover the ACCA syllabus for this paper

- 8 October
- 9 October
- 10 October
Phase 2: A block of 2 consecutive days. Phase 2 consists of a summary of phase 1, the remaining syllabus and mock exams to prepare you for your exam

- 19 November
- 20 November

Training days start at 10.00 a.m. and end at 4.00 p.m. Each day consists of 2 meetings and a lunch.
