Approach of Practical Diploma in Payroll Administration (PDL®)

This PDL program provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to further develop in your role as a payroll administrator. You will become familiar with aspects of labor law that you encounter in practice. In addition, the topic of payroll taxes is covered extensively. You will be taught by experienced instructors who help you apply the gained knowledge directly to real world situations. They do this by consistently linking theory to concrete and relatable practical assignments during the sessions. You will then actively work on these assignments yourself. Thanks to its structure and pace, this program is perfectly suited to combine with your job.

Preparation and study load

Reviewing the theory and completing the homework assignments require a study load of 10-12 hours per session.

Online learning environment

During the program, you will have access to our online learning platform. This platform provides all the practical information about your course. You can also communicate with your instructors and fellow students. Additionally, you can watch knowledge clips for each topic in your study. This way, you always have a teacher at hand to explain things again and someone who can refresh your knowledge on topics discussed during class. The memo trainer further prepares you for the exam.

Classroom or virtual classroom

You can attend the vocational training Practical Diploma in Payroll Administration (PDL®) in a classroom setting at a location of your choice. Since you can learn a lot from each other in a group, we offer an alternative location if there are insufficient registrations for your preferred location. Our training locations are spread across the Netherlands. If you prefer lessons at fixed times, with a teacher, and digitally, the virtual classroom is the perfect solution. • Employment contract and types of employment relationships
• Probationary period and non-competition clause
• Termination of the employment contract (including termination prohibitions)
• Collective labor agreement and participation

Exams and diploma

You will participate in the digital exams of the Association for Examination. For each exam, you will receive a certificate. Upon successfully passing all exams, you will receive the official diploma ‘Practical Diploma in Payroll Administration (PDL®)’ from the Association for Examination. After successfully completing the program, you can register with the Dutch Institute for Payroll Accounting (NIRPA). You will then be allowed to use the NIRPA title RSa (Registered Payroll Administrator).
